This three hour workshop will teach students the different types of candles that are sold in the UK, then learn the skills to make their own using natural soy and beeswax! This hands-on workshop will show how to make a variety of beautiful candles. Choose from a range of fragrances and dyes to personalise a candle range. At the end everybody takes home the candles they have made plus a copy of our step-by-step course notes.

Introduction to candle-making through the ages
Overview of the different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrances and candles
Demonstration of 4 different candle-making techniques
Using individual melters, melt two types of soy wax (container and pillar), add dyes, fragrance oils and wicks to make four types of candle: container, pillar, floating and rolled beeswax.
Finish your candles off with beautiful packaging and decorations
Participants take home their own candle creations and a user guide to enable them to recreate other candles at home

Tea, Coffee and cold drinks available all day.
A sandwich lunch is provided, followed with homemade cake.
