Originally from the Midlands Jenny studied graphic design at Norwich School of Art. She worked in graphic design before moving out of the city with her husband and settling in rural Cheshire. This is where I raised her two children, who have now grown, which has given her the time to focus her energy and enthusiasm on her art.
Two of my happiest places are in her garden- planting seeds, growing flowers and veg- and her studio - playing with paints, inks, brushes and rollers. Jenny loves living in the countryside and has a real passion for gardening and growing things to cook and eat.
Her studio has doors opening onto Her garden, through which she can see a damson tree hung with bird feeders, her pond and the countryside beyond. From these she can take much of my inspiration. Painting mainly with acrylics and oils, she also make multi-layered hand-printed lino cuts. Jenny enjoys both processes, so some days it's a painting day and others she can't wait to print!
