Helen has always been a bit of a 'maker' since childhood, creating tiny worlds and scenes for hours on end! She eventually studied wood and ceramics at Brighton University and began selling recycled wood sculptures and hand crafted automata in the Artists Open Houses festival there each year.
In 2011 She moved from Sussex back to her home of Somerset and woodworking took a back seat to bringing up my little boy so she rediscovered her love of sewing and fabrics. She now loves to combine wood, clay, wire and fabrics in her whimsical little sculptures.
She's inspired by nature and the array of materials, She's a bit of a hoarder when it comes to buttons, fabric and bits of wood and loves putting it all together to create a new piece!
